Hi. I'm Michelle Nam.
I'm a CD
from LA & OC
living in SF.
I've got 99 problems
but a solution ain't one
I am a problem solver and always have been. I enjoy the problem solving process in all aspects of my life — from work down to my outfits.
My official background is in advertising from Art Center College of Design (Pasadena, CA) and Business and International Relations from the University of Southern California (Los Angeles, CA - Go Trojans!).
There is one defining moment when I started to think that the life of excel spreadsheets and word docs might not be enough for me. It all started on April 1, 2004 when I decided it would be a great idea to prank my friends with the oh-so-familiar LA City Parking Tickets. I had already done the research with all the parking tickets I had received and just did a little extra recon to collect friends' vehicle information (not creepy at all). I then emulated the tickets and envelopes down to the millimeter using Photoshop 7 and the skills that I had retained from high school. This was before I knew the beauty that is Kelly Paper, so I utilized the white borders of Fendi ads from WWD, which were the same glossy white textures of the tickets.
You could say that I was just a young con-artist in the making, but I call it keeping in line with brand standards.
